Introducing Lytec 2011

The Lytec practice management (PM) system from McKesson offers the stability that thousands of users trust to run their practices and get their bills paid — only now Lytec is better.

With 2011, Lytec medical practice software debuts all-new technology that makes the application fast and easy-to-use, so office staff can accomplish more in less time. New scheduling and billing features allow you to work faster and smarter. Lytec 2011 also includes the new Revenue Manager which allows you to automatically post a standard 835 insurance remittance advice using your Lytec software.

Lytec 2011 Features

Ribbon TechnologyLytec Ribbon
The Lytec 2010 user interface doesn’t just look good. It offers a user experience that is second to none. The ribbon technology uses command and tab bars to help users easily navigate the system. Related commands are grouped closely together, and frequently used commands are displayed in a customizable quick access toolbar.

Lytec Automatic 835 Remittance Posting
Lytec 2011 translates and displays the 835 electronic remittance advice (ERA) in an intuitive window that allows the biller to review the payment information, make changes if necessary, and post (or not post) each individual payment and adjustment.

Appointment Billing Display
The Lytec appointment schedule now includes a “Billing” column. This column contains the bill number corresponding to the appointment. At a quick glance you can now verify that this appointment has been billed. Also note the refresh button in the Appointment screen that enables users in a multiuser environment to quickly refresh the screen before scheduling a new appointment.

Lytec Billing:
Claims are generated using a customizable rules-based grid that allow your practice to easily address different carrier filing requirements. These claim variables can be customized at both the provider and practice level. Say for example one of your insurance carriers requires a taxonomy ID, another requires a legacy ID, the flexibility of the grid system enables you to enter limitless claim submission scenarios.  This approach gives your practice the flexibility it needs to make changes to address future payor changes and government mandates, including ANSI 5010.
